David returns to Porchlight Music Theatre to Music Direct their Fall production of G  Y P S Y , starring the inimitable E. Faye Butler as Mama Rose. Featuring an all star cast including Daryn Whitney Harrell (Louise), Aalon Smith (Dainty June), Jose Antonio Garcia (Herbie), Honey West (Electra), Dawn Bless (Mazeppa), Melissa Young (Tessie Tura) and Marco Tzunux (Tulsa).

"At long last, one of Chicago’s greatest diva’s will assume the role that has been called “The King Lear of music theatre,” when E. Faye Butler makes her Porchlight Music Theatre debut in the landmark musical, G Y P S Y . The heart-wrenching story of a mother who raises her daughters to assume the heights, whether they want to or not, features one of the gold-standard musical scores including “Let Me Entertain You,” “Together (Wherever We Go),” “Everything’s Coming Up Roses,” and others. This production promises to be one of the must-see events of the season."

G Y P S Y  will run Oct. 12 through Nov. 25 at the Ruth Page Center for the Arts, 1016 N. Dearborn St.

After Music Directing last year's  C H I C A G O   S I N G S : S I N A T R A   A N D   T H E   R A T   P A C K ,  this year he's back as a guest performer, singing an original arrangement of an old MGM tune with the great Nancy Voigts.

The concert is August 20th at the UP Comedy Club at Second City, 7pm

David is back again for another season of the N E W   F A C E S   S I N G  

B R O A D W A Y   series at Porchlight Music Theatre. Featuring 3 great eras of Broadway, there's sure to be some showstopping favorites, some hidden gems, and a whole ton of up and coming Chicago talent!  A Fall, Winter and Spring edition, as always, will keep audiences enraptured with performances, singalongs, new arrangements, musical theatre trivia, and a fabulous host from the Chicago theatre world. This season will also include some new performance spaces for the series, details to come!
